Fusion
Embedded OSPF (Open Shortest Path First Protocol)
Part
of the Fusion Suite of Embedded Networking Protocols
from
Unicoi Systems, Inc.
Fusion OSPF
protocol is the source code implementation of Version
2 of the Open Shortest Path Routing Protocol (OSPF)
per RFC 2328. It has been designed specifically
for operation in high performance routers. In addition
to complying with RFC 2328 it also supports "not-so-stubby"
areas per RFC 1587, as well as the flooding of Opaque
Link State Advertisements per RFC 2370.
The Fusion OSPF Protocol is
fully integrated with the Fusion embedded TCP/IP
stack and IP routing engine, and provides the same
high level of portability to a wide variety of embedded
target environments as do all of Fusions' protocol
products. The only requirement is that the Fusion
IP stack must be ported to the target. Fusion OSPF
is provided with ANSI C source code.

Fusion
OSPF features:
- Conforms
to RFCs 2328, 1587, and 2370
- Interoperable
with Fusion RIP/RIP2, including configurable
route "leaking" between RIP and OSPF
domains, as well as configurable leaking of
static and local routes
- OSPF
Protocol provides high-performance routing via
Fusion's integrated forwarding engine
- Runs
with or without a real-time OS
- Comprehensive,
easy-to-use API for run-time configuration
- Comprehensive
monitoring API to facilitate troubleshooting
routing problems in a large hierarchical OSPF
domain
- Full
support for configuring all operational aspects
of OSPF over point-to-point links and broadcast
LANs per Appendix C of RFC 2328
- Cryptographic
(MD5) & plain-text authentication configurable
per interface
- Compile
time switches for controlling memory utilization
(maximum size of link state database, etc.)
and CPU fairness (time between SPF runs)
- Like
all Fusion protocol products, the Fusion OSPF
protocol is 100% portable ANSI C source code
- Royalty-free
OSPF source code license
