Motorola 56800E Ethernet Flash Evaluation Module
Unicoi's Ethernet / Serial
Flash Evaluation Module provides all
the hardware components necessary to add network
connectivity to Motorola 56800E DSP applications.
This board connects directly to any Motorola 5685xE
evaluation board (EVM), and utilizes a single
chip 10/100 Mbit Ethernet MAC/PHY solution that
interfaces to the 56800E address and data bus.
The Ethernet chip is an SMC91C111 provided by
Standard Microsystems Corporation.
In addition, the 56800E evaluation board supports
up to 64 Mbit of serial flash for applications
requiring features such as audio storage, embedded
web server, or data logging. These flash devices
interface directly to the 56800E Serial Peripheral
Interface (SPI) bus. The board supports the Atmel
AT45 family of serial data flash.
The Fusion product provides driver source code
for both the SMC91C111 MAC/PHY and the Atmel serial
flash components. Reference schematics and board
layouts are also available.
