T/TCP
The Fusion Transaction
TCP (T/TCP) source code product is an extension of TCP
that permits TCP connections that are established for
the purpose of conducting transaction or query/ response
types of data exchanges (one short chunk of data in each
direction) to be conducted with performance that is much
improved over that of standard TCP.
Fusion T/TCP allows each transaction, i.e., each
request/response sequence,to be efficiently performed
as a single TCP connection by performing the opening and
closing 3-way handshakes concurrently with data transfer.
This enables very fast, efficient processing of transactions.
This makes Fusion T/TCP an ideal solution for applications
where response-time is important, such as point-of-sale,
web-browsing, etc. Additionally, the truncation of the
TIME_WAIT state for short-duration connections of less
than two minutes makes T/TCP an ideal solution for any
application characterized by a high volume of transactions.
